I can't just walk away from this one....... I don't have a thing against some people taking a perfectly good tractor and butchering it, so they can have them a "pullin' tractor". Whatever floats yer boat. I DO see the "crime" in not having a "PURE FARN STOCK" pull every now and then. Those of us that actually USE tractors for their intended use, would like to have OUR day in the sun every once and a while. When our county fair held it's tractor pull this past week, there wasn't but 4 or 5 guys pulling that uctually farm for a living. Maybe 5 more that grew up on a farm. And that's OK. If they want to hold a "Yuppie Tractor Pull Association" sanctioned pull, go right ahead. Just count me out. BUT...When it comes down to it, these boys couldn't get a days work out of their tractors if their lives depended on it. As far as the "competitive" end of the arguement, the competition is to see who can spend the most money, or bend the rules the farthest. I have no interest in playing that "game". If all these folks that insist on spending all their income on a $2000 tractor, just to have another "wanna-be" change the rules to make THEIR tractor "KING OF THE HILL", want to play that game, go right ahead. That's not "technology", that's not "competition", it's just a waste of time/energy/money. And when it gets right down to it, most of these guys couldn't compete on a "level playing field" where we use "stock tractors". Now let your testosterone get you all cranked up, and tell me how wrong I am......BOYS. John
