OT ...Big Oak Root

I have to remove a 29 inch diameter Oak stump from a proposed laneway, the Oak has been cut down and sent to the saw mill (nicewood)and it has left me with a 18 inch above ground protrusion so as to facilitate removall. Question, I have dug around the stump with my backhoe (Ford 555) to a depth of 36 inches and broke the roots as I went, does the Oak tree have more roots at the very bottom of it as I can not budge the stump at all. I have removed all the white ceder roots that was also in the way and did not encounter any problems in removal. Any advice as to how I should proceed to complete this procedure without damageing my hoe, would be most appreciated. Best Regards, and many thanks for any and all imput. Douglas.
