From what everyone has posted here, it sounds as though leaking intake manifolds are a common GM problem. The tech should have know by the history of these engines to not only look at the water pump when you brought it in, but also check/replace the intake manifold gasket also. If he had done this, then there would be no 2nd time and wanting a second deductable, and your truck sitting in his shop for a second time. Also remind him that your wifes cat got into this,I think they could be held responsible for any problems with the cat. If it had been fixed right the first time, this problem would not have happened.
