Howdy folks, Just wanted to start off by saying I'm sorry for posting that frustrated post. I didn't mean to vent my anger in front of you all. It's been a very rough week. Been lookin for work for four months now and haven't found any. Well, none in my area of expertise. If nothing shows soon I'll just have to look at other jobs. I don't mind it so much but I have people I care about who'd be mighty disappointed to see me not get the job I worked so hard to get a degree in. That said, I wanted to ask you all about our JD A. It's also been a source of frustration. It doesn't want to run under load. It back fires through the carb, quits, and won't hardly start after. The backfiring is a sort of puffing sound in the carb. No cracking sound thru the muffler. We've got a new mag (timed right), the carb had been set and it was running good until we stopped to fix the picker, and it has newly ground and seated valves (had been burned). I know you all can help and I appreciate it. God bless. --old fashioned farmer
