Think many of us can relate to you on both counts. Couple years back, wife lost her job in nursing. With a BS in Education, and an Associates in nursing, and a RN, she was almost two years getting another job. Sometimes the breaks are hard to come by, sometimes not your fault. As far as the tractor, follow the suggestions tendered by the fellows here. they're good things to check. We had one 'bout drove us crazy, JD trator would only miss under load. finally tracked down to a crack in the insulation of a spark plug wire within the metal tube they run thru. Would only short out under load conditions, otherwise ran fine....
