Bottom line is; you can still sell an implement that's in your possession. If the buyer truly wanted to buy, a wire transfer of funds from his bank would have set the stage for 'good faith'. He may also have just wanted to buy time to shop out a similar purchase and was just 'hedging' his bet on buying yours. ... You did the right thing.
