I'm wondering if I did the right thing. I had an implement for sale in the photo ads and a fellow asked for my phone number. I e-mailed it to him and he said he couldn't get through. The reason he couldn't is becuase our phone service will not let people call without being identified(caller ID). He finally quit blocking his number and called to discuss the deal. I told him I preferred cash, but said he didn't want to carry cash($750) and told me he was going to bring a bank check, even though I didn't agree to it. He said he wouldn't send a down payment because he was afraid it wouldn't get to me before he came to pick it up(10 days). He said he would give me a phone number for his voice mail and did after trying to remember it. Why not his home number? Two days before he was to come, I e-mailed him again and expressed that if he couldn't bring cash, I would like to have a Postal Money Order. He would have a record of it and I would have a legitimate money order that I trusted. His wife called about 6:15 Thursday evening and said she was going to the bank to get a bank check. Do banks stay open to 7:00 p.m. in most states? They don't in my area. She said she wouldn't be able to get to the Post Office before Saturday. She also said she couldn't take $750 to the post office. She said I could verify the bank check was legitimate. I thought that sounded fair, so I asked her to tell me or e-mail the banks phone number. She said she didn't have time to do it before leaving Saturday. I said that I didn't want to sell it if we couldn't agree to payment. The fellow sent me note saying that I had inconvineced them and that he had spent tens-of-thousands of dollars on bank checks buying cars, combines, etc. I thought a lot of red flags had popped up since the beginning of the deal. Do you folks think I did the right thing by not selling it? I already have a U.S. bank check I use for a book mark that was sent to me by one of those overseas scammers for twice the selling price of a tractor I had for sale a few years ago. Glad I read some of the info. you folks have left on this board on scams so I didn't fall for it, but his deal is different. What do you think?

Talk of the Town: What's The "Stuckest" You've Ever Been? - by Edited by Kim Pratt. Another great discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I was about 14 (part of the problem) when I got stuck. I was disking with a cab equipped IH 966. The window was dirty and I was driving into the evening sun. It was hard to see and it was my first pass down the field. I got the tractor so stuck that the underside of the tractor was resting on the ground. My uncle wanted
