Some people think the terms of a sale are as negotiable as the price. It belongs to you, untill it's paid for....Don't let anyone dictate to you, what you have to do for them. I buy and re-sell HUNDREDS of impliments a year. I get people all the time, that agree with my terms, then drive here with some OTHER form of payment. I send 'em off to the bank. (See if YOU can cash that bogus check, buddy!) My profit margin is kinda thin on some things. If I loose ONE piece a year to a bad check, it destroys months of hard work sometimes. I insist on personal checks being sent 2 weeks in advance, from anyone I don't know. That way, they have time to clear before the impliment leaves the yard. If the buyer doesn't agree with those terms, he's free to go elsewhere. NO CASHIERS CHECKS....period..End of discussion. Cash is preferred. Money orders same as personal checks. Trade-ins require photo of "seller", copy of valid drivers license, and signed recipt. (I've had 2 people trade in STOLEN equipment...More common than you might think. Sorta like money laundering) Business is business...I'm not obsessed with money, but I don't like giving it away. JMHO. John p.s. You did no wrong. If the wanna-be buyer was trying to lay a guilt trip on you, don't let him. He had all the chances in the world to comply with your terms....He chose not to. It was HIS problem, not yours. John

We thought we could get by with this since the engine ran perfectly and would not need any internal work. After the cleanup and painting was done, we began reassembly and finally came to t
