If your serial number is 538966 that would put the tractor after 1975. The '0' at the start of the serial number may be a 'C' indicating US built. I don't have any information on model numbers for the tractors made after '75. You may post this info down on the Ford board and get more answers. The 7E04B number from the bellhousing in your other post is a production code which indicates it was built in 1977 (or '67) on May 4th on day shift. You can find these numbers on most of the castings on the tractor. The link has info on '75 & earlier thousand series tractors.
