I know this may sound a little strange, but there is a product called Break Free CLP. This is what the military uses to clean and lubricate just about all weapons. It is also used by just about every police department. The product is a cleaner,lubricant, and protectant. The key to it working to free an engine, is that it absolutly will not stop penetrating. It is so good it will penetrate ammunition primers, and soak them destroying them. It is expensive, but it works better than anything I have ever seen. I actually have seen it penetrate several inches through rusty siezed steel. You can use it just like WD-40 in application. However it is far better than any products like WD-40. You can buy it at any gun store, or good sporting goods type store. 4 ounces will cost about $5.00.
