For little more than the cost of the battery you could get one of those portable jump start battery packs. You can charge it off your cig lighter while your cruisin down the road to pick up your next toy. They're also handy for jumping tractors or even as a temporary battery. They should hold plenty of charge to operate your winch for the duration. They're easy to tuck away when you're done with it to prevent theft and you can use it for many other things around the farm.
