Mine is a 94 F250 with the 460 engine lots of power,... It is hooked up with the key, only hot when key is on the running position,.. Also got a F350, not wired from ford,.. I wired it the same but it is hot all the time and is still protected by a 30 amp fuse,.. only differences is the F250 got 2 relays in the circuit for the trailer package.. They both charge the battery,.. But I do feel safer with the f250.
