New car warrenty?????

I am looking very seriously at a 2004 Chrysler Sebring with a six under the hood. I have been told that they drilled the oil holes in the block of these engines undersize. As a result the holes block with sludge very easily especially if you fail with timely oil changes.
Because of this shortcoming Chrysler will not honor the warrenty unless you can document proper and timely maintenance.
Does anyone have any experience with this situation?
