Each axle can handle it rated weight. So, each axle can carry 7000, or 2 can handle 14,000. as others say, the whole trailer likely will have less carry capacty than the axles - esp with such a stout axle. The tires, hitch, and so on each have their own rating, and the trailer will be rated to the lowest item. Also, the weight of the trailer counts against you, so you can't carry a load weighing the rated weight - your total weight includes the weight of the trailer. You likely know that, but the wording of your question left it open... ;) On the other hand, I hear you can combine the tounge weight rating & the axle rating to get the total weight. For example, if you have (2) 3000# axles and the trailer hitch is rated for 500# weight, the trailer can be rated for 6500#. I'm not smart enough to know if that really is true..... --->Paul
