I kinda see their point, but I bet they would have gotten more out of it if they had a charity auction for the engine, I'm sure that somebody out there would have grabbed it even if it did need an injection pump as sombody surly has a 1566 or something out there that has an ok injection pump, but the rest of the engine isn't too healthy, and being owned by the school, I bet it had all new parts in it that had only been ran a couple of hours. Obviously somebody must have put it together right for that engine to turn almost double the maximum speed rating and run well without flying apart, so somebody could have gotten a few hours out of it. I have seen schools do alot of foolish stuff before, so it really shouldn't be a surprize to me. Too bad.
