Our MF 1800 has the Cat 3116 I do believe. One Oliver 2255 we had had the 3150 and the other the 3208. I don't see a problem swapping but I do know that the Topkick we have now with the 3208 runs out of breath at about 2500 while the 3116 in the MF will stretch her legs out at 3200. And that is crazy talk about them not being able to handle being lugged! The only other problem may be if the 3208 going in is turboed. Our 1800 is set at 180 horse which is what a non-turbo 3208 is usually at but will hit 250 with the turbo. I am sure the tractor could handle it though, they are simple but ROCK solid old beasts.
