Rauville: Back before Canada went metric I once got stopped by police on a road that had been downgraded with the opening of a new 4 lane. Cop said,"MacKay we clocked you at 58 mph". I said,"So what is the problem, this is a 60 mph highway." "Not anymore" was his reply. I said sir, " I turned unto this road from highway 224 and there is no speed limit sign between here and there." He said, "yes there is back by the game preserve." I said, " That sign while same size as a speed sign, states it is illegal to dump garbage on the highway." "Mr. MacKay", he said, (note the change with the Mr.) I'm going to let you off with this, nice to know someone actually reads signs." It indeed does pay to read your highway signs.
