OT: Load Limit Signs are Real!

From our local newspaper: "...According to the Sheriff's Department, Douglas xxxxxxx was westbound on 200th Street hauling a load of 28 large round hay bales. He attempted to cross a bridge with a posted load limit of 6 ton when the bridge collapsed.
There was an estimated $15,000 in damages to the 1995 Freightliner truck, and an estimated $300,000 in damage to the bridge..." I've often wondered about those signs; now I know.
