If I get oil or greese on my good cloths, first I remove any that has not been absorbed into the faberic by use of a scraper (cardboard, piece if tin or plasic). Then I spray brake clean from the inside out. This works well on fresh oil and greese. Don't use this stuff on most sinthetic fabrics as you will find a hole where you sprayed. Some sinthetic fabrics are not bothered by brake clean. Trial test in an inconspicuos place if in dought. Got some grease on one of the wifes drop rugs when I walked into the house, cleaned the sinthetic fibers with no problem, but the backing under it disapeared. Try explaining that to her.
