I have a BN with equal size axle housings, crank start. It is my most fun tractor. I paid $1000 for it with a bad carb and governor. It also needs rings. The new carb and Governor work cost me $500 so that puts me in your ball park.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
