Neil, The IHC B, & BN have both rear axle housings of equal length, with the BN having the 8 inch shorter lengths, thus; B N-arrow. The IHC A has the left side axle housing shorter then the right side, it has the wide front end, and the narrow front end was NOT available. The A (and sucessor models,) have a cast iron wheel center on the RH side and a stamped steel wheel on the LH side. Look at the serial # tag and it will indicate which model it originated from.
Where is the "funny" "BN" located? I saw one like you described at a show in Minnesota a few years ago. It was a "put together tractor", definitely NOT from the manufacturer.
