international 600 D

i have a 600 diesel that i'm having a hell of a time with.runs perfectly on gas,but absolutley can't make it run on diesel. did some pump work'found a couple of stuck plungers and a couple of broken springs. i think the timing jumped some how,because when you turn the dial inside the timing cover i just doesn't seem to change the way it runs. the injectors have been check out,the head has been redone, did compresion ,someone out there has had the same problem i know they have.so you older ih guys that know all the little tricks, how about send me the trick before i go into the ih nut house. thanks ih guys
