If you have anyone that manufactures or sells utility trailers in your area, check with them. Frequently you can buy a complete axle cheaper than the 2 brake assemblies. Same goes for Tractor Supply, they usualy have axles with brakes cheaper than individual brake units. P.S. if you do add the brakes yourself, there is a right and left, if you get them reversed you have lousy brakes.
