My 35 had a rops made out of 2 7/8 drill pipe (oil well) welded to a steel plate (looked like 1/4" or so) which was bolted to (around) the axle housings. Seems something went wrong (over the years) as by the time I got the tractor someone had taken a torch and cut it off. May have been that the owner was using the tractor to mow and couldn't get under trees (exhaust is out the rear) so he cut it off. For a rops to really work, you also need a good seat and use a seat belt to hold you in place "while you roll". My solution is pushing the tires out, proper drawbar techniques, and on some tractors front weights. All this plus staying keenfully aware of the "tipover box" that the CG has to remain inside to keep you right side up. Course, you never know when you'll hit a rock, or slide down a hill and hit something causing the overturn. Common sense goes a long way as does staying alert as to what can cause one. Also reducing speed to only what's necessary (especially road gear) helps too. Good luck Mark
