About a year ago, in the greater Pittsburgh area, the cops arrested a guy who picked up a large shipment of cashiers checks he had bought from some company that sells them to anybody! Later on, they decided he was up to no good, so he got a stretch in the slammer! Its a shame what the thieves try to get away with.
And, a very religious minded couple got scammed by the old "I'll send a cashiers check, you cash it, send balance in M.O.!" trick!
now, they say they will forgive him--he probably needs the money! $35,000 they owe their bank!! Well, just remember what Mrs. Barnum said as she filled the baby bottle---
