The living-history museum where my wife works is looking to buy a 40 horsepower, horizontal, side-crank steam engine. Preferably an Onieda, but at this point, they will consider any make. The museum has an overshot water-powered grist and saw mill, and at one time it also had a steam engine for backup power during low-water conditions. The engine has been missing for years, and they are looking to install steam power again. They are just about to the point of having a replica custom-made, but it will cost a fortune. The boiler tank was just completed, and the stack is up - waiting for an engine.
