It will be a toss up.Both have good features, the Deere is somewhat more operator friendly, better a/c,more comfortable cab. The 619 is a good engine if it has had decent care and maintenance, and hasn't been overfueled or run hot.The rest of the drivetrain is plenty strong, if it has had good maintenance, fluid and filter changes and hasn't been cowboyed. Have the axles checked for bearing wear, and the hi/lo pressure checked. The Steiger is a little stronger drivetrain wise, and the Cat engine is about bulletproof if it has been maintained properly. The cab is noisier, not quite as comfortable, the hydraulics alittle slower, and you don't have the advantage of the no clutch hi/lo if you get in a tough spot.Your results with either one will depend on their previous homes and how they were taken care of. Either one will pull the V ripper,a 20-30' disc.Unless the Steiger has alot of service history with it,excellent rubber and appearance,it seems a bit pricey. We bought a PTA325 with the allison auto,5100 one owner hours, all the uptime services done, last year for 29000.

A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
