I have built a tractor back in 1985 and used a right angle gear box from a piece of machinery for the belt pulley but cannot remember whatit was from. The gears broke inside of it and am in search of replacments. The gears are 90 deg. angle gears. One has 40 teeth and the other has 20 teeth with 1" shaft and keyed on. I do not need the gear box but I will describe it and post a drawn picture. The box was painted red when I got it. It is made of steel (not cast) it has a tin cover screwed on with 3/16 stove bolts, it measures approx 6" long, 4" wide and 5" high, it has 1" shafts and uses flanget bearing on the through shaft and has a bushing on the side shaft, there was an 1 1/2" pipe welded to the bottom (do not know how long it was) If you can identify the box or know where I can get some gears please let me know.
