Mark, Any sandblasting you do keep it away from that engine and other moving parts. That stuff goes everywhere and gets into everything. I'm still finding sand in the ductwork of my 64 GTO from when I did my firewall years back. Pull off whatever you can and sandblast these parts separetly. Use automotive engine cleaner around the motor. And on everything else use a heavy duty oven cleaner letting it soak for several hours. And for trouble spots a few more coats of oven cleaner and a wire brush. Follow up with a good pressure washing. Use eye protection oven cleaner is some nasty stuff!
