Trailer brakes revisited...

Due to a lack of time for a while, I'm finally getting around to sorting out my trailer brake troubles. I'm first changing controllers, mainly because I found my fantasy brake controller that is air actuated, rather than surge or hydraulicly actuated. My question is: Its a Kelsey-Hayes controller, and I have 3 wires, red, blue and black, and no manual or markings to tell me whats what. Other controllers I've looked at have red(stoplight), black(power), white(ground) and blue(brakeline). Does anyone have any solid insight as to what wire would be what? This controller should be wired just like one of the old hydraulic models a lot of us grew up with before ABS dictated new electronic controllers. Unfortunately I only used them, never wired them....
