Sean..........your Ford 8N came from the factory with a very efficent oilbath airfilter. Many tractor operations can be VERY DUSTY and will turn into grinding compound inside yer engine usless it is trapped in the oilbath. Change yer oilbath everytime you change yer engine oil, using the same oil. Ford recommends you change yer engine oil at least once a year, in the fall. Ford also recommends checking your oilbath fill level every 10hrs (takes about 1-pint) fill both the inner and outter circles of the bath. This is ALL EXPLAINED in yer 8N Ford Owners Manual ($10, cheap and still available)..........respectfully, Dell
