Hi Jerry, The one thing I did like about the Woods tho, was that they come equipped with the tire protector; all the KK has is the bolt holes for mounting one. I'm thinking strongly about stringin' an old tire chain or a chunk of belting across the front of 'er just to be on the safe side. Dunno, all that spinnin' iron under there makes me nervous. :>) Also, guess I didn't realize they were that heavy; gotta get me some weights on the front of that tractor to hold the front end down. Not used to mowin' while drivin' with the brakes. :>) Allan

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
