MJL, Not enough info: check to see if you have spark, pull a plug wire, use pliers and hold it near a bolt head and have someone spin it over, if you have no spark, then start with checking the wires to the coil, then see if you have spark from the coil, if not you have a couple options: wiring or coil, if you have spark from the coil but not to the plugs ( I am assuming this is a battery ignition tractor, if not just see if you have spark from the mag.) than you probably have a problem inside the distributer...points, condenser, rotor...if you have spark, the look at the fuel system; is the fuel bowl full of sediment? Tank rusty? if so maybe the carb is dirty. Hope this helps a little, Pete
