My new motorcycle has an annoying electrical fault where the starter switch won't work sometimes, wiggle the key and it works. The other day I'd warmed up the bike and shut it off for a second while my wife climbed on, I don't normally do that, but we were on a hill and it was easier to hold it up in gear with the engine off. Well when I went to restart it I couldn't get the starter to go. I wiggled the key and swore and got annoyed and finally my wife said "the kill switch is off." Sure enough I had shut it off with the kill switch and forgot. Flipped it back and it fired right up.
