We got one from an animal shelter, too. He's the type that would normally be hard to adopt. Not only is he old and partially blind, but he is a breed that most folks fear. Not all pit bulls are vicious. I've never seen a dog as good with kids as this one. Our five year old niece has ridden him like a horse. When he gets tired he just sits down til she gets off.
We've also got a Dalmation, that the brother-in -law gave us. He's a lot of fun, but a little more rambunctuous than ole' Magoo
