I have a JD330 diesel garden tractor. Been using it for a few years to cut 4 acres of grass. Keeping thinking its going to give up the ghost but it has not, yet. When I engage the mower deck (spindles and bearings are good on deck, idler could use some attention) always been greeted with plumes of black exhaust. The engine in it is a 3 cylinder 18hp yanmar. Anyone have any thoughts on reducing the black smoke. I swapped out the air filter, bled the fuel system, added sea foam to the fuel for the heck of it. Leaves me with thinking I may have an injector issue, internal engine issue, injection pump etc or something else. I don't have a compession tester for diesels may buy one if the price is right. In a 8 cylinder diesel I'd crack the injector to find the rough running cylinder on a 3 cylinder how can you spot one? Thanks,
