Deere makes or made their own side discharge model, although I don't know the model number. I first saw two working inside a prison mounted under the Deere 850's the inmates used to mow grass. Then my neighbor picked one up the was for a 3 point that he uses behind his Jubilee for 85 stinkin dollars somewhere, that looks like might be the same model. 85 stinkin dollars for what I think might be a $2,000 mower because is Green. They do excellent work, and my neighbor has a small field that grows nothing except weeds about 3 or more feet tall, and cuts right through it no problem. It's a finish mower mounted by 3 point in his case. Was in great shape when he got it from ??? for $85!!! I can't remember if the ones at the prison were belt driven, but can't recall having seen them remove belts when they removed to wash them. Must've been some sort of PTO involved under those 850's somehow. I don't recall. Me, on the other hand have a rear discharge 59" belly mounted Woods under an AC B that does just fine around the house, but isn't as slick as my neighbors 3 pointer. Is similar to Ingersall Rands rear discharge belly mounter too, and both went for about $1,500 a couple of years ago. Was a toss up which to get. I'm thinking a rear discharge with a cut that wide spreads the discharge more evenly, but might just be my perception. Mine works fine, my neighbors works fine. I do like the idea of that 3 point though - mount, use, dismount, done. Whereas mounting and dismounting mine, well, it just stays on, but that B's only a mower. Mark
