i have held a plow day at a friend of mines farmstead for 7 years now. it just keep growing every year. the woman get together an provide the dinner, usually cold meat sandwichs an chili, an couple of other types of soup. then a desert. for the evening meal i buy a hog an have a neighbor roast it right there where have the plow day. so you will be smelling it all day long. everyone brings a covered dish to share that night. what usually happens with most of them the men show up to plow an then the women show up to help with dinner an then come back with a covered dish for the evening meal. last year we had 31 tractors plowing an it was tough plowing, 200 plus bushel corn will do that, lots of trash. for the eveing meal we had well over a hundred people. the meal are surved in the machine shed down there. its gets a little chilly in the evening but we have a good time. johndeeregene any more question feel free to email me
