points gap

Please help
I have a 9N 1940 tractor and blow a head gasket,i faced the head and torqut the head to spec. But know she wont run but a short time.
I put new points in but do not know the gap.
also i think i got the resistor hooked up wrong
i have 5 jobs to do and need this info as soon as posible
please help
