Like Galen said, NAA was the replacement for the 8N. It was more modern, more power, live PTO & hydaulics, overhead valve engine. It is a very creditable tractor to this day. Ford called all their tractors from 1939 to 1955 N-something. 9N because the first one was made in 1939, 8N because the first one was 1948. I not sure about the "AA". The NAA was 1953 and 1954, in 1955, Ford went to the number nomenclature-600 series-800 series, etc. just my $0.02
