I have been at my job as a manufacturing manager of an autmotive parts supplier company for 6 years, I have been promoted several times, but it is the same old thing day after day. I want to go into business for myself, but havent found a good area to pursue. I have a college degree in engineering, grew up on a farm and consider myself very business minded. I make great money where i work, but it is not interesting, just making money for a company headquartered in switzerland. When I was younger (I'm 29 now), I had a few small businesses and I found them fulfilling. I could work my own hours (a lot) and be my own boss. I live in a large city in Ohio and just want to be on my own. My wife will soon have a regular job with health insurance and I wonder if this is the time to venture out on my own - but where and what? I understand I need to do A LOT more research, but do any of you have any ideas? I am open to all fields........
