OT...Help on F350 Auto

Need to pick all the experts brains. I was pulling trailer with my 1995 Ford F350 automatic 4X4 Lost all forward gears in auto, still have reverse But no forward movement. all I had on my trailer was a Chev 2500 with burned up wiring. Oh was also pulling a fairly good grade, running 50 was doing great, then all of sudden lost forward motion. Checked trans fluid, good, Put in 4wheel drive still nothing. all drive lines are still intact. Trans was so hot I could not put hand on pan... Also had disingaged the overdrive before starting up the grade. Any and all info would greatly appreciated.....Thanks Keith
