DO NOT place antifreeze around unless you want your dogs dead, grandkids dead, cats dead, squirrels dead. You get my point. Ignore stuff like giving them Pepsi 'cause they can't burp - old wives' tale. First, remove whatever it is the mice are after, even if its seeds in the field. Disc 'em under if you have to. Clean around vehicle graveyards, lumber piles, all that stuff so there's no good hiding and/or nesting places. Then get a couple of barn cats. They're cheap to keep, will look after themselves, and keep your place clean of mice, snakes, wild cheese, etc. Don't try to make them your friends, however, as they will be indifferent to your emotional needs.
