Although I hate cats, get a cat or two if you have alot of mice out side. Before that though. Eliminate all food sources and water spots they can get h2o. After a day or two put out lots of rat mice bait. At least 2 different kinds as some wont eat certain brands. I have good luck with" jaguer" and " just one bite". Unless you want all other critters dead make sure you use bait stations. Keep feeding the stuff and if you have a lot of mice you will have a nice dead smell around your place for about a week. You may have to do this constant for a few years to really knock them out.
