I had my Super M up in the woods last week, and since it had been stubborn I parked it on a hill so I could clutch start it. I began to roll and moved the gearshift into 3rd I THOUGHT! When I released the clutch with 1/2 throttle I instantly discovered I had the thing in 5th gear. There is nothing like flying down through the woods in road gear. I now have a wrenched shoulder from being bounced over the steering wheel, bruised legs from the seat catching me from being thrown off, and a sore ankle from where my foot got bounced off the clutch. Been farming most of my life, but this one scared me. We've all heard the old saying "familiarity breeds contempt". I was too familiar it seems. I was thinking, I survived Vietnam, motorcycle wreck, rodeoing, and a host of dumb things, but this is gonna do it. Be careful guys!
