Hi Ol' Bud, Are you sure you weren't just low on oil? I don't know squat about the utilities, but I was under the impression that the systems are exactly the same as the 656, 666, 686, etc.? On a 656, the PTO should have it's own pickup tube/oil pump/actuator and the PTO's oil doesn't come thru that main hydraulic filter. Fact is, it's oil is not even independently filtered. Only the two or three system hydraulic pumps up front (depending on if the tractor is a hydro or not) are filtered on these tractors. Poor old PTO is kinda left out in the cold to fend fer itself like a dis-owned child. :>( That's why I think that in this instance, the only common denominators are oil level and that power shaft. Dunno, I've been wrong so many times before, that I've completely lost track. :>( Allan

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
