hi old, we're about eighty miles west of St. Louis and everywhere we looked was brown as is your area i'm guessing. I think another cutting is not out of question as long we can get it dry. The foxtails and crabgrass are coming on strong now and make good feed if not cut too late. The fescue is slow but the orchard seems to be springing back good. The alfalfa is doing really well, maybe two cuttings yet (hopeful). We've got a little bermuda for a test plot it stayed green through all those hot days it's really taking off now. That stuff is unbelievable but so very expensive too plant (300/acre just for sprigs). We've come across a seeded variety am going to try some next spring let you know more when it's up and going, it's alot cheaper to plant. If fertilizer wasn't so high I'd recommend the minimum amount of nitrate a spreader will spread, we've done that in the past years had some real nice late cuttings. The rain is so nice, isn't it? Well I've gone on enough good luck!!
