You likely need to have the windrow of a uniform size (18 in or so wide). Windrows that are too small tend to get the hay over to one side in the bale chamber and you get banana bales. Consistent baling starts with consistent raking. Too big a windrow, baled too fast, and you shear pins and/or bust twine. There is often some adjustment in the hay finger location in the pickup assembly although I am not familiar with your particular model. That can help, but a uniform windrow of proper size is the biggy. Be sure what you're baling is dry enough, and keep the bale chamber tension tight enough to not have the bales sloppy but not tight enough to break the twine. You might want to shift down a gear and keep the PTO under 540 rpm until you get everything copacetic. Welcome to the club. Good luck, work safely and keep your sense of humor.
