I fondly recall when the old NAPA parts store in town was a solvent smelling place with 2 or 3 guys behind the counter who really knew their $hit. You could take in a part off a tractor..an electrical part for example.. and the parts guy would like at it and say...what's it off of? You'd tell him and he'd mutter...same as a Chevy six cylinder..he'd go in the parts room and come back with a part and toss it on the counter...or he'd come back with 3 or 4 little orange Eglin boxes (points or condensors), open them up and match them to what you had. You'd be out of there in 10 minutes with your part and it fit when you got home. None of this BS from some pimple faced kid at Autozone who punches a keyboard and asks 'what year is it?'..2 or 4 door?..4 wd? All the while I'm grating my teeth and thinking, what fricken difference does it make if it is 4 wd or had 2 or 4 doors? The reason it matters is the little retard was flippin burgers at McD's last week, doesn't know a condensor from a wiper blade and the big parts guys have had to dumb down the terminology so these morons can sell Chinese parts. The last water pump I bought was $12.95.....now they're $60 and up? WOW!

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
