Gravely rotary plow tips

I'm about to hook up the rotary plow for my Gravely walk-behind for the first time. Hook up is no problem but i'd like some tips on how to use the dern thing. Do you have to make passes from more then one direction? What engine speed works best? I assume dead slow travel speed is best but all ideas would be apreciated.
